Hey-Listen To Our Good News!!!

Pssst... listen to this! I had a brain MRI yesterday and the little brain tumor bugger is still there but shrank significantly. so, that means that the cancer is going down everywhere officially and that this current treatment is a winning combo. The brain specialist got together with my oncologist and they both agreed that I should get new orders to get chemo every THREE weeks instead of every TWO weeks.
This is extremely huge for me, of course. This means more recovery time and energy in between infusions. It also means that I have been stable long enough that they are relaxing and trusting the treatment a bit. Since no one knows how all of these poisons will affect my body in the long term, giving it a bit of a break seems pretty good to me. I have been doing some form of chemo for almost 2 years now and if I could have reached through the phone to kiss the nurse that called me with the news today, believe me, I would have.
Speaking of kissing-this is my husband, Richard's, mouth before sipping a Lava Flow on our Bahamas cruise. Isn't he so kissable!? I know, I'm very odd, but this picture makes me laugh out loud.
Anyway, the prayers are definitely working so keep them coming. This is the first time they've offered to spread anything out which is a very positive sign. Time to celebrate again!!
Love you all,
Laura

  2. Laura, Richard, Jake: The Bahama cruise looked so fun! I probably would down at the bottom of the rock wall holding your drinks! I am, of course, afraid of heights. I am so happy that your scans are turning up good! I am celebrating with you! Love to all, Marcy
